Who we are

A woman with purple hair and glasses looking in a mirror. She is wearing a maroon jacket and a black-and-white checkered scarf. The mirror is decorated with leaf-shaped ornaments and reflects her holding a small object. There are various bottles on the white counter in front of her.

The Perfume Bar is the work of Pamela O’Dea and her team of perfumers.

After years of teaching perfumery classes and creating bespoke fragrances, Pamela focused on building a traveling fragrance experience that is a special and interactive activity for special occasions from bridal showers to corporate events.

What makes The Perfume Bar different?

  • Ingredients. We source our perfumery materials (not fragrance oils) from the top four perfume houses in the world. That means you get a scent made with the same ingredients as high-end fragrances. Givaudan (Switzerland), IFF (USA), Firmenich (Switzerland), and Symrise (Germany).

  • Quality. We ensure quality in our fragrances by doing in-house testing of all materials.

  • Customer Experience. Your guests will have one-on-one time with our perfumers to ensure they love what they create.

  • Knowledge. Our perfumers have specialized training in perfumery, the materials unique to The Perfume Bar, and how to build fragrances that are unique to each client we meet.

Safety

Perfumery is chemistry, knowledge, and a sprinkle of magic. That said, safety cannot be overlooked.

Pamela focuses on sourcing sustainable fragrance materials including essential oils, isolates, absolutes, and eco-friendly green chemicals.

All materials provided in our services are diluted in-house to ensure quality and safety.

The Perfume Bar was born from a simple belief: fragrance should be accessible, personal, and joyful for everyone.

What started as a traveling perfume experience for bridal showers and corporate events in the Columbus, Ohio area has grown into courses for aspiring fragrance entrepreneurs.

Pamela O'Dea has spent years helping clients make their own perfume in Ohio, and now she is sharing everything she knows with the next generation of perfumers.

If you have been wondering how to start a perfume bar business and want to learn from someone who has already built one from the ground up, you are in the right place.
